Matthew is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Endodontics. He has several postgraduate qualifications and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. He is involved in the training of other Dental Surgeons in advanced techniques and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Matthew has extensive experience of advanced procedures which include the provision of dental implants and managing complex dental problems. Matthew can provide a range of treatments for complex dental problems. These include:

Dental implants – titanium screws that are used to replace missing single or multiple teeth

Managing worn teeth – teeth that become severely shortened through wear and tear can have a variety of treatments to increase their length to improve their function and appearance

Gum disease – a combination of non-surgical and surgical treatments can be used to treat gum disease

Managing receding gums – in certain circumstances surgery can be used to cover unsightly recession defects

Case 1

This patient arrived with worn, fractured and missing teeth. His smile was transformed with fillings, crowns and dental implants which improved his appearance and ability to eat.

Case 2

This patient presented with a loose and darkened incisor that was fractured below the gum that was replaced with an aesthetic implant crown. The remaining teeth received tooth whitening.
